Snapping Screenshots

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:38 am by letc

There is an add-on in the Firefox browser called Snapper that is pretty darn cool! It allows you take a clear snapshot of web content that’s open in your Firefox browser, frame the image before snapping the photo to eliminate the need for cropping, and save the image as .png file. This could be helpful when taking screenshots for library instruction.
In Firefox you click on ‘Tools,’ ‘Extensions,’ ‘Get more Extensions,’ and find Snapper. Once loaded, a small red fish will appear in the bottom right corner of your Firefox browser. Click the fish once to turn Snapper on, draw the red box over the section you’d like to photograph with your mouse, and a save box to your computer will automatically open.
